3.5mm audio adaptor including DAC for smartphones

Not all of us have or even like Bluetooth earphones. They can be a faff and they can fail on you when it’s least convenient. Some of us still prefer wired earphones, because they’re cheap, because the sound can be of better quality, or just because they are more or less guaranteed to work.

The trouble is, smartphone manufacturers have, quite notoriously in some cases, started to remove the 3.5mm audio socket from their devices. This little dongle puts it back. It has a built-in digital to audio converter (DAC), meaning it doesn’t assume that your smartphone has this function.

Variants available for USB-C devices (which are most of them these days) and also the old iPhone Lightning connector (iPhone 14 and earlier).
